Education Wing HVAC and Lighting Upgrade
Lexington, KY
The project primarily consisted of HVAC renovation replacing hot water radiators and window air conditioners for a three-story, 22,500 square foot education building built in 1957. Renovated spaces included classrooms, offices and an assembly area. The wide variation in occupancy schedule of each floor and space provided an excellent opportunity for energy conservation via part-load equipment operating efficiency and ventilation scheduling. Work also included new lay-in ceilings and light fixtures, and an integrated variable refrigerant flow (VRF) HVAC controls system, with controls accessible from on- or off-site via smartphone or computer.
Quest Community Church Cincinnati was a renovation of an existing 32,000 square foot automobile dealership to include a 400 seat auditorium, a smaller auditorium, café prep and serving area, offices, and ancillary spaces. Connolly Consulting Engineers’ design included new HVAC systems with wireless ethernet-based control systems, energy-saving demand control, renovated plumbing to accommodate for the future occupant load, and new LED lighting both indoors and in the parking lot.
